MFC Clinical Fellow awarded prestigious SFI-HRB-Wellcome Trust grant
Dr. David Crosby, Clinical Research Fellow at University College Dublin and Merrion Fertility Wellcome Trust Institutional Strategic Support FundClinic was recently awarded a highly competitive research grant by the UCD and SFI-HRB-Wellcome Trust Biomedical Research Partnership. The goal of this project, a collaborative research endeavor between UCD and MFC, is to define how dysregulation of inflammatory pathways affects embryo implantation and pregnancy.
MFC research awarded first prize at Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute (TBSI) Research Day.
A collaborative research project between MFC and the Comparative Immunology Group at TBSI on uterine natural killer (NK) immune cells in endometriosis and ART was selected for best oral presentation at the TBSI Research Day, June 23rd 2017. Dr. Louise Glover Ph.D., Research and Development Officer at MFC, was awarded the prize at the showcase of research at TBSI and Trinity College Dublin for her talk entitled “Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Outcomes in Endometriosis-associated Infertility – A Role for Uterine NK Cells?”
MFC research ranked in top 10 of posters presented at the 33rd Annual Meeting of ESHRE
MFC research on the immune system in infertility was selected as one of the top ten posters presented at the meeting of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, held in Geneva (July 2-5, 2017). The ESHRE conference is the largest annual European meeting in the field of reproduction and embryology, with over 10,000 participants. This research was also shortlisted for the Basic Science Award for poster presentation.
MFC research wins top prizes at Irish Fertility Society 2017
Merrion Fertility Clinic research staff were awarded both first and second prize for best oral presentations at the 2017 meeting of the Irish Fertility Society.
