Kay is an experienced professional counsellor. She received her academic and professional qualifications from Trinity College Dublin and holds accreditation with the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and the Irish Association of Fertility Counsellors (IFCA).

Having originally trained as a couples counsellor with RELATE UK, Kay then continued working in this area for 10 years in Marriage and Relationship Counselling Services (MRCS) Dublin. She moved into the area of fertility counselling in 2003 and has been the lead counsellor at Merrion Fertility Clinic since.
